Every journey starts with an idea, a vague plan but more importantly the will to discover the world. That’s also what happened with the Discover Overland team. We have all been bitten by the travel bug and we like to share this experience and knowledge with others. Getting people to meet each other, to share experiences, to inspire one another: that’s what we like to do!
Peter and Leonie from Amsterdam, the Netherlands quit their jobs and rented out the house in 2013 to be able to travel around the world on their motorbikes. They first went to Africa, then crossed the America's and returned to Amsterdam via South-East Asia and Central Asia.
Sofie and Jo are two keen motorcycle travelers. After having ridden the outskirts of Europe, they wanted to broaden the horizon and get to know other cultures and new regions. In 2016 they left their jobs for 6 months and started traveling east. The original plan was set to ride to Mongolia via Iran and Central-Asia. Just as a proper adventure is supposed to be, things did not really work out the way they planned.
Roel and Azure ride around the world on a Honda Africa Twin and a Honda Transalp. Seven years ago they each embarked on a round the world trip and in Australia they found each other. Since then they rode their motorcycles to all the corners of the America’s, riding to the most beautiful spots between Alaska and Ushuaia.
