Itchy Boots – on a Royal Enfield Himalayan through India, Central-Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and beyond…

In August 2018, Noraly decided to quit her job, sell her house and motorbike, and to travel indefinitely. After a few months of backpacking in India and Bangladesh, she decided to rent a motorcycle in India for a few weeks. After three weeks of traveling in the Himalayas, she was sold. Traveling by motorbike, that was what she wanted to do from now on.

So she bought a Royal Enfield in Delhi, arranged the paperwork and decided to drive from India to Malaysia. A nice trip of 11,000 kilometers, but this was by no means enough! She thought it would be nice to ship her motorcycle to Oman. This was the start of new adventures through Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and a few other 'Stans' eventually ending up in the Caucasus via Russia. From there it went further west back to Europe.

But here too her adventure does not end! The Netherlands is only a stopover before traveling further. Next stage goes from Patagonia to Alaska. Another stretch to look forward to!

At Discover Overland 2019 Noraly will tell about her adventures so far. How do you cross borders with a motorbike on Indian license plate that is not even registered in your own name? What is it like for a blonde woman to travel alone through the Middle East and Central Asia?

Noraly makes a video of every 'motorcycling day' on her trip. You can follow her on her YouTube channel Itchy Boots.
